Why should I attend this Course?

In order for electrical installers to self-certify that their domestic electrical installation work in England and Wales is compliant with the Building Regulations, they must be registered with a competent person scheme, such as the NICEIC Domestic Installer Scheme. All applicants to the NICEIC Domestic Installer Scheme must meet a number of requirements, in particular be able to demonstrate they have the ability to install, inspect, test and certify their work in accordance with BS 7671, and to comply with the relevant Building Regulations.

We offer this course as a 6 day programme comprising of training and assessment, to meet all the needs of the competent person scheme. The emphasis of the qualification is on understanding regulations, standards and terminology, and having the ability to identify unsafe electrical situations and perform electrical test procedures. Knowledge and appreciation of the relevant requirements of other appropriate Building Regulations is also covered during the course.

How long does the Course take?

The Course is delivered over six days: five days theory and practical revision and one day to complete the unit Assessments.  The Course includes Assessment for the City & Guilds 2393-10 Level 3 Certificate in the Building Regulations for Electrical Installations in Dwellings.

What does it cost and what is included?

The total cost for the Course is £825 + VAT.  This price includes all revision, Course handouts, registration, Assessment and certification fees.  We require a deposit of £400 to confirm your place.
