City & Guilds 2382 - Certificate in the Requirements for Electrical Installations First Amendment (BS 7671:2008 Amendment No 1, 2011 -17th Edition)
Who is the Course aimed at?
This qualification is aimed at practising electricians with relevant experience and is intended to ensure that they comply with the format, content and applications of the requirements for Electrical Installations BS7671 (June 2008).
There will be one qualification route available on this course. all candidates will be required to sit a full exam which will cover the current wiring regulations. Please note there is no longer the option to sit an update exam. City and Guilds offer one exam for all candidates.
What does the Course cover?
The Course covers topics such as protection for safety, selection and erection of equipment and inspection and testing to meet the standards of the IEE Wiring Regulations.
Why should I attend this Course?
Completion of this qualification provides evidence that you are working to the latest wiring regulations.
Successful learners could progress to our qualifications in Inspection, Testing and Certification of Electrical Installations (2392-10 & 2391-10) or in Design, Erection and Verification of Electrical Installations (2391-20).
How long does the Course take?
The 2382-10 is available as a three day revision Course with exam on a fourth day.
What does it cost and what is included?
The total cost for the Courses is £365+VAT. This prices include all revision, course handouts, assessment and certification fees. We require minimum deposits of £100 to confirm all bookings.
What happens after the Course?
Once you have completed the on-line examination, your results will be uploaded to City & Guilds who will issue a certificate within approximately two weeks. This certificate is then sent to us for checking and providing that all the details are correct we will forward it to you.
About the Assessment
The 2382 has a 60 question, multiple choice, 2 hour online E-VOLVE exam on a fourth day.
How do I book a place?
The easiest and quickest way to book a place on this Course is to telephone the office (Burgess Hill Centre: 01444 870860). They will be able to discuss dates and availability with you and can take payment by debit/credit card to confirm your place.
Alternatively, you can email us for dates and availability or, if we have already sent you a booking form, you can complete and return it with your payment. It’s important that all bookings are sent to the Burgess Hill centre – details can be found on the Centre Information Sheet/Map.
Please note that all places are sold on a first come, first served basis. Places can only be confirmed on receipt of payment. We would advise that you check availability with us before returning your booking form.
What should I do to prepare for the Course?
After you have confirmed your place, we will send you a booking confirmation, timetable and receipted invoice. Please contact the office immediately should any of these items be missing from your booking confirmation package.

- Pen, paper and non-programmable scientific calculator
- Photo I.D. such as passport, driving licence or company I.D. card (you will not be allowed to sit the on-line examination without this)
