Chloe Bauer - Year 1 Electrical Apprentice

Chloe Bauer is in the first year of her Electrical Apprenticeship at our Burgess Hill centre, and works for AJ Taylor Electrical Contractors.

What made you apply for an apprenticeship?

I wasn’t sure what to do for my A levels so decided to do an electrical course at college and after doing a year at college I realised this was what I wanted to do so did an apprenticeship in order to get a more hands on learning experience.

What is the best thing about your apprenticeship?

Being able to work at a professional company as you learn more and quicker on the job. You feel confident around electrics more quickly, and you get a better understanding of the career you’ve gone into, which helps you decide whether this what you actually want.

Would you recommend an apprenticeship to your friends and family?

Yes, definitely!

What have you gained personally from your apprenticeship?

I feel like I have gained in confidence, both with electrics and more generally.

How have you found the apprenticeship experience overall?

I have found the apprenticeship experience at Steve Willis Training to be really good - and much more enjoyable than college!
