Free Employer Information Evening
5th January 2017

Apprenticeships are changing.
2017 brings major changes to Apprenticeships, including the the way they will be funded and the structure of the courses.
Funding rules will now include a new Apprenticeship Levy - large companies with an annual pay bill over £3 million will contribute 0.5% of their pay bill to the Levy.
Medium sized companies with over 50 employees will move to a 90/10 funding model where 90% of the fees will be paid by the government.
For small businesses (with less than 50 employees) the government will fund 100% for 16-18 year olds (and certain 19-24 year olds) with 90/10 funding for all other 19+ apprentices.
Training Frameworks are being replaced by new Standards, which will include independent End Point Assessments instead of continuous assessment.
This is just a brief summary of the changes. If you are an employer and you'd like to find out more, we are holding two free Employer Information Events.
Held at our training centres in Burgess Hill (Weds 1st Feb 5 - 7 pm) and Portchester (Thurs 2nd Feb 5 - 7 pm), these are the perfect opportunity to learn about how these changes may affect you. Our Apprenticeship Manager will give a short presentation, and you'll have the opportunity to talk to our trainers and ask questions. There will also be refreshments and a prize draw.
Email apprenticeships@stevewillis.com if you'd like to know more. We'll also be posting more details on our social media so follow us on Facebookand Twitter.
