Shadow Minister visits Burgess Hill
19th April 2021

We hosted a visit from Shadow Minister for Apprenticships & Lifelong Learning Toby Perkins MP recently at our Burgess Hill Training Centre.
He met with two groups of electrical apprentices and their trainers to find out more about their experiences of apprenticeship training. He asked about how they had got started on their apprenticeship programmes and their hopes for the future. Our apprentices asked him some great questions too...
The visit was organised by the HomeServe Foundation, the charity of home repair and improvements company Homeserve, who took part in a discussion with the Shadow Minister, our Apprenticeships Manager Jake Gibbons, and representatives from our partner Clarion Futures
We talked about the vital role that apprenticeships will play in addressing the skills shortage facing our industry, as well as their importance in providing opportunities for young people.
