This course is for electricians with practical experience of inspection and testing of electrical installations, who wish to become certificated in the design, erection and verification of electrical installations.

The qualification is intended for those responsible for the quality of the design, specification, installation and inspection and testing processes, and was previously certificated under City & Guilds 2400 Design, Erection and Verification of Electrical Installations. The course covers all aspects of installation design including detailed circuit design calculations to the 17th Edition, in particular the implications of the Wiring Regulations for Electrical Installations in relation to the design and erection of new electrical installations. It provides a full insight into circuit design and verification and candidates will gain the ability to design installations with confidence.

The course is four days of theory based revision with an evening written examination to take place after this. Candidates are also required to complete a City & Guilds set project (minimum 40 hours work), in their own time after the course.

Only candidates who already hold a current 18th Edition Wiring Regulations qualification - City & Guilds 2394-2395 (2391) - can be accepted on this course. (This qualification is also offered by Steve Willis Training).

Further details may be found in the course information sheet (CIS 011).
