This Level 3 qualification is for experienced qualified electricians already working in domestic, commercial or industrial environments, to provide an understanding of how to install electric vehicle charging equipment and systems.
The course covers the specialised installation requirements of electric vehicle charging equipment in public, private and commercial locations, and includes guidance on electrical requirements, inspection and testing, and handing over of electric vehicle charging equipment.
It will cover both domestic and commercial installations but the candidate will take only the assessments that they require – domestic only, commercial only or both.
The course takes two days, with an online multiple choice exam and assessments on the second day.
