EAL – Level 4 Award in the Design and Verification of Electrical Installations

This course is for electricians who wish to gain an in-depth understanding of the concepts, processes and practices involved in the design, construction management and initial verification of electrical installations. The qualification is ideal for individuals aiming to expand or update their professional knowledge and skills in the safe and ergonomic design of installations that comply with relevant statutes, regulations, industry standards and sound engineering practices. This course is equivalent to the C&G 2396.

Only candidates who hold a current 18th Edition Wiring Regulations qualification and a City & Guilds Level 3 Certificate in Inspection, Testing and Certification of Electrical Installations 2391 or 2394/95 can be accepted on this course. You must be over 18 years old to take the assessment. 

The course is delivered over four days with a written exam on the morning of day five, followed by a project kick-off meeting in the afternoon. It provides a comprehensive understanding of the necessary practices to ensure installations meet the highest safety and regulatory standards.
