Are you set to finish school next year and are already thinking about your future career?
At Steve Willis Training Centres, we offer fantastic opportunities to master a trade through our comprehensive apprenticeship programmes and we would love to show you how at one of our Open Days.
Why Choose an Apprenticeship?
An apprenticeship is not just a course – it’s a career pathway. It’s designed to help you gain real-world experience alongside studies, with 80% of your time spent on-the-job with an employer and 20% learning theory and practical skills in the classroom. The best part? You earn while you learn, and at the end of the apprenticeship you’ll have a nationally recognised qualification that opens doors to numerous job opportunities.
Whether you’re interested in gas engineering, plumbing, or becoming an electrician, our apprenticeships can help you launch as successful career in industries that are always in demand. You’ll also get the chance to contribute to the future of sustainable energy, with opportunities to specialise in renewable technologies such as heat pumps and other renewable solutions.
What to Expect on Our Open Days
Attending one of our Apprenticeship Open Days is a perfect way to learn more about what we offer and see if it’s the right fit for you. Here is what to expect:
- Watch practical demonstrations to get a taste of the kind of skills you’ll be mastering during your apprenticeship
- Chat with our experienced trainers and apprenticeships team who can give you insights into what life is like in the trade and the classroom
- Our Open days are laid back and designed for you to ask questions, explore your options and get a feel for what it’s like to learn with us.
These Open Days are held in the early evenings (3 PM – 7 PM on weekdays) so they fit around your school schedule and make it easy for parents to join too. If weekends work better for you, we also have a couple of Saturday morning sessions.
