Year1:
The first year contains all aspects of health and safety, common plumbing processes/techniques, scientific principles, planning and supervision, cold water systems, hot water systems and central heating.

Year 2:
In your second year, we will focus on building your on-site assessment requirements for plumbing and gas that will support you with your portfolio in which you will cover decommissioning, testing, and commissioning of plumbing and domestic central heating systems. In the classroom, you will focus on the key principles of plumbing, domestic heating systems, and the control of plumbing and heating systems.

Year 3 (& 3.5):
In your third and final years you will continue to build your expertise in plumbing and domestic central heating systems. Your on-site assessments and portfolio will focus on advanced skills, including decommissioning, testing, and commissioning with handover procedures. You will also develop your fault diagnosis and rectification techniques. In the classroom, we will expand your knowledge of combustion and the properties of gas, gas safety, and core gas safety standards. You will cover the planning and supervision of systems, buildings, services, and structures, as well as the installation, servicing, and repair of gas water heating and central heating systems.

End Point Assessment (EPA):
The End Point Assessment (EPA) is taken on completion of your assignments and portfolio. This is the end of all the previous training and assessments and, if successful, you would complete your full plumbing and domestic heating apprenticeship.
