Core Commercial Gas Safety – Initial and re-assessment
This Gas Safety Assessment is designed to test the gas safety competence of an operative in core commercial gas work. Assessment will be done through a practical and written task to ascertain your knowledge and understanding. Operatives must hold a valid Domestic Gas Safety (CCN1) qualification or renew their commercial qualification.

Changeover to Commercial Gas from Core Domestic Gas (CCN1)
Tests gas safety competence of those intending to extend domestic heating work range to include non-domestic heating
3 days of revision plus 1-day assessment
TPCP1
TPCP1 – Initial and re-assessment
Tests gas safety competencies of an operative in pneumatic strength testing, tightness testing, and direct purging up to and exceeding 1m3 of non-domestic gas installations. TPCP1A is available on request.
2 days revision plus 1-day assessment
ICPN1
ICPN1 – Initial and re-assessment
Tests gas safety competence in the first fixing of non-domestic installation pipework including the installation of check meters
½ day revision plus ½ day assessment
CDGA1
CDGA1 – Initial
Tests the gas safety competence of an operative in the work of installation, commission, service, repair, and breakdown of direct gas-fired heating appliances and equipment.
½ day revision plus ½ day assessment.
CIGA1
CIGA1 – Initial
Test the gas safety competence of an operative in the work of installation, commission, service, repair, and breakdown of indirect gas-fired heating appliances and equipment.
½ day revision plus ½ day assessment.
CORT1
CORT1 – Initial
Tests the gas safety competence of an operative in the work of installation, commission, service, repair, and breakdown of non-domestic overhead luminous radiant plaque and radiant tube heaters.
½ day revision plus ½ day assessment
BMP1
BMP1 – Initial and Re-Assessment.
Tests the gas safety competence of an operative in the work of assembly, installation, commission, service, repair, and breakdown of gas booster installations, associated controls, and pipework up to 0.5 bar pressure.
