Steve Willis Training Centres has proudly selected Motiv8 as their designated charity in the Portchester area. Motiv8 is a remarkable community-based organisation dedicated to supporting young individuals and families throughout their various stages of growth.
The charity creates safe and nurturing environments where trusted adults offer guidance and support, helping these individuals develop the necessary skills, tools, and resilience to overcome everyday challenges.
Michelle, our Portchester Centre Manager, presented Motiv8 with a generous donation of £1000 on Tuesday evening. This donation was raised at our apprenticeship graduation in June through a raffle and auction, and it was then doubled to an impressive £2000 at the Big Give 2023.
The impact of this support was evident as inspiring young people shared their achievements and talents. The funds raised in just the first few days of the Big Give Christmas Challenge have already reached £24,000, surpassing Motiv8’s goal of £16,000.
Last year, through the Big Give challenge, they successfully raised £4,000, which has allowed them to support an astounding 4,682 young people. During this time, they have provided 14,630 hours of support, offered one-to-one mentoring to 519 young individuals, and engaged with 3,951 young people through their street-based youth work.
We take pride in continuing to support young people in our communities and hope to see them at our centre as future heating and electrical engineers or as apprentices pursuing careers in heating or electrical engineering.
