This qualification is for experienced electricians already working in domestic and or commercial environments, for installations up to and including 12KW.
This course covers the specialised installation requirements of electric vehicle charging equipment in public, private and commercial locations and includes guidance on electrical requirements, inspection and testing and handing over of electric vehicle charging equipment.
This qualification is only suitable for qualified electricians with relevant experience as shown below:
Candidates must hold one of the following core qualifications or their ‘GOLD’ card –
- C&G 2357
- C&G 5357
- C&G 2346
- C&G 2356
- C&G 2347
Qualifications from other certifying bodies are also accepted.
The core qualifications above must have been achieved no more than five years prior to starting this qualification. If they are more than five years old, candidates require an 18th Edition wiring regulations (2382) and a level 3 inspection and testing qualification such as C&G 2391/ 2394/ 2395 or equivalent.
If the candidate’s core qualifications are more than five years old and they have a level 3 inspection and testing qualification but not the current 18th Edition wiring regulations (2382), then a 2382-22 must be taken prior to the 2921-34 exam.
Evidence of your core qualifications or Gold Card along with the evidence of your 2382 and 2391 or equivalent must be provided prior to starting the course.
